Job Summary
Associate Director, Work Management Solutions is a client-facing technical leadership role responsible for architecting, implementing and expanding Work Management/Smartsheet solutions for SlipstreamLS clients and internal stakeholders. This role owns the client relationship from a delivery and value realization perspective, ensuring engagements consistently meet business objectives and that Slipstream is positioned as a trusted strategic partner. The Associate Director leads quarterly business reviews, authors statements of work, manages team allocation and capacity planning, supports pre-sales activities, and provides delivery oversight across active engagements. This role brings proven experience scaling Work Management solutions across teams, programs, and portfolios - and the curiosity to stay ahead of where the technology is heading, bringing emerging capabilities like AI-driven workflow automation into both client engagements and internal practice development.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, evaluate, and implement work management solutions and tools. Keep current with industry innovations and trends.
- Manage assigned clients and engagements to ensure consistency with company goals, budget compliance, and on-time delivery.
- Foster an environment of daily experimentation, share insights, and adapt to evolving delivery approaches while staying focused on customer value.
- Lead client activities including discovery sessions, requirements collection, data management, solutioning, development, testing, go-live, and production/operations support.
- Execute project management methodologies, policies, and best practices (PMO) to improve efficiency.
- Develop technical documents, process maps, roadmaps, and solution architecture designs
- Maintain a billable target for project involvement and serve as the first line of defense for customer escalations.
- Interview, hire, mentor, and develop consultants with the required skills—prioritizing work, stakeholder alignment, AI competencies, and an adoption-focused mindset in conjunction with leadership.
- Assume full accountability for assigned team’s fiscal health, ensuring the team meets or exceeds performance targets (KPIs) while maintaining consistent data accuracy in time and performance management tool(s).
- Optimize resource allocation across projects and develop contingency plans to mitigate threats.
- Engage, train, and operationalize the incorporation of AI into tools and methodologies to shift your team’s focus toward higher-value strategic activities.
- Provide continuous and timely updates on project performance and outcomes to leadership.
- Proactive partnering with leadership, sales, and marketing teams.
- Create training materials for internal teams, sales and marketing teams as well as supporting account expansion.
- Develop proof of concepts, where necessary, to help validate technical requirements.
- Prototype novel solutions to prove feasibility and develop implementation documentation for proposed solutions

Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience and a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Statistics, Data Science, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in work management consulting. Preferred Life Sciences.
- 5+ years of excellent client management skills and the ability to work with customers in both pre- and post-sales environments, with a proven track record of navigating business pivots or disruptive technology shifts.
- 3+ years leading high performing teams of individual contributors, either in a formal people leadership role or as a project manager.
- Strong experience in building integrated solutions across multiple platforms to provide seamless workflows.
- Smartsheet Certified Solution Architect.
- Smartsheet Core Product Certification.
- Smartsheet Project Management Certification.
- 5+ years of experience using Smartsheet Premium products like Data Shuttle, Dynamic View, Data Mesh, Pivot and Calendar.
- 3+ years of experience using Control Center and Developing Blueprints.
- 2+ year(s) of experience using Smartsheet Resource Management.
- 2+ year(s) of experience using Bridge.
- Certifications in other work management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, Microsoft Planner/Project, Plainsware, and other is highly preferred.
- PMP Certification preferred.
- Willing to travel periodically (up to 10%) based on customer and business need.
Work Schedule
- Typical schedule will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
- Must be flexible to accommodate departmental needs.
- At times, overtime may be needed to accomplish deliverables which could include evenings or weekend hours.
Work Location
- Place of employment is expected to be 100% remote.
- For all remote meetings, all employees are required to be on camera with appropriate business casual attire and SlipstreamLS approved background.

- This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
