OneTrust Privacy Engineer / Consultant

Role Summary

We are seeking a OneTrust Privacy Engineer / Consultant to lead the configuration, implementation, enhancement, and ongoing administration of OneTrust solutions across privacy, consent, and preference management programs. This role blends platform consulting, solution design, configuration, integration support, and light front-end development for privacy preference experiences. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with OneTrust Consent & Preferences and Cookie Consent, working knowledge of broader privacy automation capabilities, and the ability to translate privacy and compliance requirements into scalable technical solutions in regulated healthcare and life sciences environments. This is a senior individual contributor role working closely with business, legal, compliance, marketing, digital, and engineering stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and enhancement of OneTrust solutions across consent and preference management, cookie consent, privacy notices, DSR/privacy rights workflows, and related privacy operations capabilities.
• Configure and administer OneTrust platforms, templates, forms, workflows, rules, geolocation behavior, languages, scripts, and reporting to support business and regulatory requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain branded consent and preference experiences, including preference-center pages, notice pages, and related front-end components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and tag management patterns where needed.
• Support cookie consent operations, including scanning, categorization, banner configuration, consent model setup, auto-blocking approaches, and consent record management across websites and digital properties.
• Partner with business and technical teams to define consent, notice, and privacy-rights requirements and translate them into implementation-ready configuration and user stories.
• Support integrations between OneTrust and enterprise platforms such as CRM, marketing automation, CMS, identity tools, data platforms, customer data platforms, analytics/tag managers, and downstream request-fulfillment systems.
• Assist with data mapping, records of processing activities, privacy assessments, and privacy operations workflows where OneTrust is used as the system of record or orchestration layer.
• Support testing, defect triage, release coordination, and production validation for OneTrust changes across web, app, and platform integrations.
• Produce clear documentation including solution designs, process flows, admin guides, test scripts, configuration logs, and audit-support materials.
• Work with compliance, legal, security, and digital teams to ensure implementations align with HIPAA, global privacy requirements, consent governance, and internal control expectations in healthcare and life sciences settings.
• Provide practical guidance to clients and internal stakeholders on OneTrust platform capabilities, limitations, implementation options, and support model considerations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities, process gaps, and optimization opportunities across privacy operations and consent management.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in privacy technology, consent management, privacy operations, or related compliance technology roles.
• 2+ years of hands-on OneTrust implementation, configuration, or administration experience.
• Experience working in healthcare, pharma, biotech, medtech, payer, provider, or other regulated health-related environments.
• Strong understanding of consent lifecycle management, preference management, privacy rights workflows, audit trails, and privacy-by-design concepts.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills for client-facing and internal delivery contexts.
• Experience working effectively in distributed or offshore delivery models.

Required Certifications

• One or more current OneTrust certifications in Consent & Preferences, Privacy Automation, Privacy Management, Cookie Consent, Data Mapping, or related OneTrust tracks; equivalent or successor certifications are acceptable because course naming may change over time.
• IAPP certifications strongly preferred, especially CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, and/or CIPT.
