Role Summary

Business Analyst / Project Manager supporting Clinical & Patient Services delivery for life sciences clients. This dual-function individual contributor role combines hands-on business analysis - including discovery, requirements gathering, process mapping, and functional documentation - with project and PMO responsibilities focused on project planning, milestone management, RAID tracking, status reporting, and overall project health. The role partners closely with Salesforce Architects, Developers, QA, and client stakeholders to drive delivery execution, maintain alignment to client expectations, and support successful delivery within regulated environments. This is a fully remote position with no travel requirements.

Core Responsibilities - Business Analysis

  • Facilitate discovery workshops with commercial, medical affairs, patient services, and clinical stakeholders to surface business needs and current-state pain points.
  • Lead requirements gathering and elaboration, translating business needs into clear, prioritized, and traceable requirements.
  • Develop current- and future-state process maps that capture workflows, hand-offs, systems, and decision points.
  • Author user stories and acceptance criteria that drive delivery teams and define done.
  • Produce and maintain BRDs and functional documentation, including business rules, process flows, data considerations, and functional solution summaries.
  • Establish and maintain requirements traceability across requirements, stories, build, and test.
  • Plan and support UAT, including test scenario definition, user coordination, and readiness for business sign-off.
  • Lead defect triage and business validation, confirming fixes meet requirements and acceptance criteria.

Core Responsibilities - Project Management

  • Own and maintain the project plan, including scope, schedule, dependencies, and resourcing inputs.
  • Manage timelines and milestones, tracking progress against baseline and flagging slippage early.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including agendas, action items, follow-ups, and decision capture.
  • Own the RAID log, actively managing risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies through to resolution.
  • Produce clear, audience-appropriate status reporting for client and internal leadership.
  • Drive action item management, ensuring ownership, due dates, and timely closure.
  • Monitor overall project health and proactively identify and escalate delivery risks before they impact outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including offshore resources, vendors, and client stakeholders, to ensure timely execution of project activities.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager / Project Manager, or combined BA/PM role on client-facing technology delivery.
  • Required life sciences, pharma, biotech, or healthcare industry experience.
  • Working understanding of the Salesforce platform and its application within clinical and patient services, including data model fundamentals, declarative automation, security concepts, and configuration capabilities at a functional level.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops and gather requirements from both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong process mapping skills and the ability to write high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.
  • Hands-on experience managing project plans, milestones, RAID logs, status reporting, and action items.
  • Experience supporting Agile delivery methodologies and collaborating effectively with Architects, Developers, QA, offshore teams, and client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive decisions without formal authority.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to GxP-regulated or validated (CSV) environments and change control discipline.
  • Experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, Veeva CRM, and/or IQVIA OCE.
