Job Summary

Smartsheet Project Manager Level II, Information Management, Pharma IT is responsible for leading the architecture and development of Smartsheet solutions for Slipstream-IT, advancing the effectiveness the effectiveness of Slipstream-IT performance internally and for the Life Science clients we serve.

The role is responsible for analyzing the business process, leading technical discussions, facilitating solution definition, and successfully building solutions.

This role will partner with Project Managers, other developers, and client contacts to deliver high quality business cases, business process designs and ensure that proposed solutions meet established Slipstream quality and compliance standards and business solution needs. The ability to listen to complex technical and project discussions and capture the needs and goals of both internal and external stakeholders is critical.

Must have the ability to work on multiple projects and manage work independently to meet the needs of this fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of project and assigned team members.
  • Creation and ownership of project artifacts, budget, and communications.
  • Respond to customer issues in line with SLA in MSA/SOW.
  • Manage innovation, implementation and ongoing support of systems and networks.
  • Manage support teams and evaluating performance metrics.
  • Oversee and own project planning, design, testing, documentation, and change management.
  • Ensure that products and services are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Hire and train new IT staff as assigned.
  • Working with the customer to document requirements (business, technical and testing).
  • Simplify them for easy analysis, solution design and decision making to positively impact/solve medium risks/issues.
  • Review of the customer’s business workflow and subsequent gap analysis of proposed technology/core solutions.
  • Train and empower Smartsheet users to maximize their use of the system.
  • Mentor, coach and assist in the development of Slipstream-IT personnel.
  • Facilitate and lead design sessions with the business and implementation team. to identify functional and technical requirements.
  • Capable of planning and managing their own and other team member’s activities to meet deliverables and deadlines.
  • Sure weekly timesheet reporting for assigned projects is accurate and on-time.
  • Review invoices to ensure adherence to SOW and PO for assigned projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Life Sciences or computer sciences or a related field required. Relevant work experience maybe considered for this requirement.
  • Deep understanding of Smartsheet core and advanced applications with an ability to put real solutions in place that maximize the end user experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Smartsheet projects covering functional areas like control center, workspaces, power apps, sheets, reports, & dashboards.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Smartsheet Platform Administrator, Specialist and/or developer
  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio).
  • 2+ years of experience in Project Management.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Able to engage at all levels of the organization while operating under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Relevant office productivity tools, such as Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Google office Productivity tools, such as gmail, google calendar.
  • Relevant workflow and drawing tools, such as Viso or Lucidchart.
  • PowerBI and SQL experience a plus.
  • Experience of virtual collaboration to lead, shape and develop innovative solutions.
  • Experience of mentoring, coaching or developing others.
  • Ability to keep up with IT advancements.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of management practices and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Travel up to 10%.
  • Must be able to be on camera for all virtual meetings.

Work Schedule

  • Typical schedule will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Must be flexible to accommodate departmental needs.
  • At times, overtime maybe needed to accomplish deliverables which could include evenings or weekend hours.

Work Location

  • Place of employment is expected to be 90% remote.
  • For all remote meetings, all employees are required to be on camera with appropriate business casual attire and background.
  • On occasion, some travel to client locations or company meetings may be required.
  • Travel will be no more than 10%.

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • The ability to move about to accomplish tasks.
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
  • Communicating verbally and written word with others to exchange information.
  • Exposure to a standard office environment with average room temperatures with no adverse environmental conditions expected.
  • Ability to travel within the continental USA via plane or car required.
