Job Summary
The Associate Director, Salesforce Practice is a client-facing leadership role responsible for driving customer success, delivery management, and operational excellence across Slipstream’s Salesforce practice. This role owns the client relationship from a delivery and value realization perspective, ensuring engagements consistently meet business objectives and that Slipstream is positioned as a trusted strategic partner. The Associate Director leads quarterly business reviews, authors statements of work, manages team allocation and capacity planning, supports presales activities, and provides delivery oversight across active engagements. This role does not directly execute technical work but partners closely with technical leads, solution architects, and delivery teams to ensure quality outcomes. A strong understanding of commercial pharma and biotech operations is essential, as is familiarity with the technology ecosystem serving this industry. This is a senior leadership role. U.S. or Canada based. Fully remote with travel expected for client-facing engagements, QBRs, and strategic planning sessions.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary delivery and customer success point of contact for assigned client accounts, building trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders from director to VP level.
- Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with clients, presenting delivery performance, value realization, roadmap progress, and forward-looking recommendations.
- Proactively identify client needs, risks, and expansion opportunities; ensure Slipstream is continuously delivering value aligned to client business priorities.
- Monitor client satisfaction and engagement health, intervening early when delivery risks or relationship concerns arise.
- Serve as an escalation point for delivery issues, coordinating resolution across technical leads, architecture, and project management.
- Oversee delivery execution across multiple concurrent engagements, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
- Support and guide technical leads who manage day-to-day execution, providing delivery governance, prioritization guidance, and stakeholder alignment.
- Establish and maintain delivery frameworks, engagement models, and operational processes that scale across the Salesforce practice.
- Drive team allocation, capacity planning, and resource forecasting across active and upcoming engagements.
- Lead forecasting activities including revenue projections, utilization tracking, and pipeline visibility for the Salesforce practice.
- Author and negotiate statements of work (SOWs), including scope definition, assumptions, deliverables, timelines, pricing, and terms.
- Support presales activities including discovery calls, solution scoping, proposal development, and client presentations alongside solution architects and sales leadership.
- Contribute to practice development including service offering definition, engagement playbooks, delivery templates, and go-to-market positioning for Salesforce capabilities.
- Organize and optimize delivery models across onshore and offshore teams, ensuring the right mix of talent and cost structure for each engagement.
- Partner with Slipstream leadership on practice strategy, hiring plans, and partnership alignment (Salesforce, MuleSoft, Veeva ecosystem).
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in technology consulting, professional services, or managed services delivery with at least 3 years in a delivery management, engagement management, or client success leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and leading QBRs, executive presentations, and strategic account planning.
- Strong experience authoring and negotiating SOWs, change orders, and service agreements for technology consulting engagements.
- Experience with team allocation, capacity planning, utilization management, and delivery forecasting across multiple concurrent projects.
- Working familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, or MuleSoft) sufficient to scope engagements, assess delivery risk, and engage credibly with technical teams and clients.
- Working familiarity with Veeva CRM and/or IQVIA OCE in the context of commercial pharma operations.
- Experience with marketing technology platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Account Engagement/Pardot, or equivalent) in a life sciences or regulated industry context.
- Pharmaceutical or life sciences industry experience, specifically in commercial operations areas such as sales operations, marketing operations, field force management, or commercial technology.
- Strong understanding of pharma commercial use cases: territory alignment, sample management, HCP engagement, multichannel marketing, launch planning, and/or patient services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders, manage ambiguity, and drive consensus across technical and business audiences.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and familiarity with project management tools and practices.

- PMP, CSM, or equivalent project/delivery management certification

Nice to Have
- Prior experience at a Salesforce consulting partner, Veeva professional services, or life sciences IT consultancy.
- Experience with Veeva Vault (PromoMats, MedComms) and Veeva Network in the context of commercial operations.
- Experience managing offshore delivery teams and optimizing blended onshore/offshore delivery models.
- Exposure to GxP-regulated or validated delivery environments.
- Experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud adoption or Veeva CRM to Salesforce migration programs.
- Familiarity with consent management, privacy compliance (TCPA, GDPR), and data governance in pharma commercial contexts.
- P&L ownership or direct contribution to practice-level financial performance.
- Experience supporting cell and gene therapy, rare disease, or specialty pharma commercial models.
